Re-saw work isn’t anybody’s favorite thing to do. It requires a lot of patients to achieve the maximum yield from any given piece.

After thickness sanding, it’s time to “lam” your pieces. Choosing the proper grain orientation is crucial.  This part is 99% prep, and 1% execution.

I use a pattern to shape all the body components prior to glue-up.

Once the necks are shaped to the finish dimensions, the pockets are cut into the bodies, and the instruments are ready for the next step.
