"Verm the worm" became the Down To Earth mascot after I illustrated and designed this compost bag. We used his character in the fertilizer guide, advertisements and on the web site to present information. If all worms were this cute, fishing may become unpopular. This job uses 5 spot colors. |

Chris Sovey contacted me through a recording studio I had done some work for in Lansing, Michigan. The actual cd represents the jewel case cover, his photograph set over a brick wall and illustrations of mazes. The mazes were used to reinforce the title of the album, Lost Without You. |

The mazes were used to reinforce the title of the album, Lost Without You. I like the effect of the center panel, the instruments are faded behind the typography in gray while the blue in his shirt brings him to the foreground. |

Every Wednesday I assisted in working the door at this event. All of the cover charge went to a local nonprofit that was active in ending the war in Iraq. The peace sign is made up of feet and arrows, indicating dancing instructions. The couple are from an old, odd record cover. I like how they happen to be looking at the logo. |

I designed this DVD package with four clip art photographs that I purchased without seeing the film. The cover suggests an agent existing in the foreground and background of the setting. Adding a photograph of the milky way compliments the cosmic nature of the documentary. |

The surface of this dried lake bed is also capable of hosting land surfing sports. This logo features one air-born, skateboarder, if you look at the bottom of his board you will find my logo mixed with random UFOTV logos. The sail contains a popular crop circles logo. |

I like how the illustration of the bee came out on this package design. It was important to keep the bee friendly. I'm sure bee's don't smile, but this one does. It also is flying with a candle and goggles. The clouds here are similar to the clouds I made for the bat guano box. I intended to use clouds on each of the fertilizers illustration, in hidesight, I'm glad they weren't overused. This was printed in full process color. |

I love this logo. I wish I had made it for my own game company, yet, it is in good hands with the owners in Tuscan, Arizona. The sun is a fitting image for an Arizona-based company. The initials of the game fell perfectly to create the eyes and nose of the sun. |

I was hired to illustrate and design this board game package with full creative freedom. The client was looking to emphasis the height of the game, as the players build tall structures during the game play. The name of the board game reinforces the tall concept of the game play. I did the illustration in pen and ink, then did the airbrushing in photoshop. Drawing the figure in the foreground was a bit frustrating, yet this artwork turned out to be one of my finest works to date. |

It is legal to reproduce stamp images, as long as they have been stamped by the post office. Because the original stamps are so small, however, it is almost impossible to reprint stamps without redrawing the art. I did around 6 projects for UFOTV that involved redrawing poor images of stamps. In this process, I often bounced back and forth from the three Adobe applications to perfect the final image. The ability to redraw images has been perfected by years of working in the billboard/outdoor industry. |

Operation Baghdad Pups was formed by the US Army. A large number of troops were befriending stray dogs in Iraq and would have to leave them behind after their tour of duty. As any pet owner may understand, it's hard to leave behind a friend. The US government now sponsors a humanitarian effort to bring these former stray dogs back to the US with their human friend. This logo is printed on cafepress tees. |

The Down To Earth catalog contains over 3,000 products that are sold wholesale. I assisted in the layout of these catalogs that contained at least 130 pages. The cover showed the Home products on this bi-annual publication, flip the catalog over and find the cover for Garden products. The intent of this style was to give the company a younger, modern feel. |
