My client had the idea for his logo in a dream. It involved a snake with wings, in the form of a spiral. Although there was a spiritual reference to the snake figure, I realized that pulling off a friendly counselor vibe using a snake would be a challenge. The wings ended up becoming the counter-balance to the snake by forming a heart. The cool blue also subdues the image. The type would always be centered, just like the practice. The website for Daniel needed to be simple and open. The photograph of Portland’s Japanese Gardens sets the tone and reinforces the local reference. The content management software is WordPress.
